Join us for a series of hands-on, family-friendly events celebrating the colourful world of Shippam's - from shopping bags to your very own personalised Shippam's jar! 

All sessions are free and drop-in - no booking required.

Shippam's 'Make Your Own' series

Selected Wednesdays, 10.30am - 2.00pm
Get stuck into craft activities inspired by real stories from the Hurrah for Shippam's exhibition. Each workshop explores a different slice of the company's history through fun, hands-on making - perfect for children aged 4+ with their grown-ups.

Wednesday 23 July - Shippam's Shopping Bag

Did you know Shippam's once had its own shops? Design and decorate your very own shopping bag inspired by the products and packaging that filled the shelves.

Wednesday 6 August - Sandwich Hanging Mobile

What's in your dream sandwich? Inspired by Shippam's famous meat and fish pastes, create a colourful hanging mobile filled with your favourite ingredients.

Wednesday 20 August - Advertising Poster

Get creative with Shippam's quirky adverts! Using archive materials for inspiration, design a bold, vintage-style poster that could have been seen on high streets and TV screens.

Wednesday 29 October - Make Your Own Jarvis the Jar

Meet Jarvis - the cheerful character created especially for the exhibition! Use plasticine to craft your own version of Jarvis the Jar, complete with googly eyes, silly smiles or snazzy accessories.
