9 April 2022 marked the 200th anniversary of the opening of Chichester's canal.
This exhibition traces the fascinating history of the canal, from its development and construction to the thriving leisure waterway we know and love today.
Produced in collaboration with volunteers of the Chichester Ship Canal Trust, the exhibition features reproductions from West Sussex Record Office and Portsmouth City Museums, a loan from the Ship Canal Trust and a selection of items from our own collection.
Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted.
